Hot on the heals of yesterday’s announcement we have an actual Vodafone Mobile WiFi device (an R201 to its friends) device in from Vodafone to test.

We’ll be putting it through its paces so let us know if you have any questions.

Hi there. Usual ones for me. Battery life (absolute key). Mac compatibility. Size! (in my head it’s massive, but in reality I don’t think it is) Finally, is it better than the 3 MiFi or the Novatel mifi you can get sim-free on Expansys?

Question from me: Is it (easily) unlockable? I like portable wifi abroad using a local sim. Currently using a Fonera router in the hotel rooms but this looks like it would be far easier…

Battery life for constant use. I get just over 4 hours of the Three MiFi. Also how big is it compared to the Three MiFi? It looks BIG in the pictures. Also could you do some speed tests with SpeedTest.net.

I know that will only give an estimate of your area. I’m in a full HSDPA covered area with Three and I’m getting 4Mbps down and 1.2Mbps up which I think is pretty good. It used to be pants when I first started using it.

Can serve upto 5 connections at a time? But how much does it slow down with 5 laptops connected?
